FEELING CRAPPY

I REALLY hate taking my kids to the dentist. I feel like I have failed as a parent when I'm told my kid has a cavity....or in our case CAVITIES! On the way home, Macy said her stomach hurt. I said, "My WALLET hurts!" Not the response or sympathy she was expecting. I'm feeling like a pretty crappy Mom today!

Les my husband is a dentist and my kids have cavaties coming out their.... mouths. (now that's embarassing!!!) I know a good dentist that would probably cut you a good deal!!!wink wink LOL

Oh Leslie. The cavaties were probably on their "practive teeth". So don't worry about it. If cavaties were the mark of a bad mom, I'm afraid we would all be in trouble. Thank goodness for the tooth colored fillings!

I've touched you before and I don't think you feel crappy at all. Actually, if cavities are the worst thing going on right now, consider yourself blessed! And, you are NOT a bad mom!!!

How about a ROOT CANAL on a 15 year old! And he just went to the dentist six months before and was fine! I've put more money in that kids mouth the past two years than I've spent in food! The braces are finally paid for, at least!

Les--I am the little sister of a dentist who will see us all for FREE if we drive to Boise. But we are serious YUCK mouths and I am WAY too embarrassed to let him see our cavity-stricken brown teeth and so I pay to go to someone here. Oh, my...do I ever feel your pain and we can't really wrestle our children down every night to force them to scrub. I have even thought about making them cough it up from their allowance but what kind of Mom does that?

Well Jaden had 7 crowns by age 3 and 1 more since then, so if you are a bad mom I would be on the really really bad mom list for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last time we went to our dentist...who is also my husband...one of my children had 8, yes EIGHT cavities. I can tell you that I definitely felt like a pathetic mom. I think their father was a little embarrassed too!! :)
